Used Liebherr tyres

There are two types of tyres you can mount on your Liebherr excavator or wheel loader: solid rubber tyres and pneumatic tyres. Which type you choose depends on the terrain where your Liebherr machine will be used. Both types are available as sets from us at a fraction of the cost of new tyres.

Solid rubber tyres

Solid rubber tyres are made of solid rubber. Their advantage is that they cannot be punctured. However, they are heavy and offer little suspension, making them less mobile and comfortable. Solid rubber tyres are mainly used in areas with sharp materials on the ground, for short distances, and on hard surfaces. Examples include waste processing facilities, transhipment sites, steel factories, or demolition sites.

Pneumatic tyres

Pneumatic tyres are lighter and provide more comfort due to their suspension. This makes them suitable for use on public roads. However, pneumatic tyres are more vulnerable than solid rubber tyres and wear out faster. They can be punctured by sharp objects or damaged by collisions, requiring time for repair.

Pneumatic tyres are mainly mounted on Liebherr machines operating on muddy or sandy terrains. Their lighter weight reduces the risk of sinking into soft ground. They are also ideal for machines that frequently travel on easily accessible surfaces, such as public roads.
