With a second-hand final drive, you can reliably extend your machine’s lifespan at half the cost of a new one.

What is a final drive?

A final drive for a Liebherr machine converts the power of the drive motor into movement. It enables your excavator, wheel loader, or crawler crane to move. A final drive consists of the following components:

• Sun gear
• Carrier
• Housing
• Planetary gear and planetary gear carriers
• Multidisc
• Brake housing

Advantages of a second-hand final drive

A used final drive is an excellent alternative to a new component. The lower price of a used part makes it easier to keep a Liebherr machine operational, especially if the machine has already been depreciated. Additionally, not all parts for older Liebherr machines are available new. Grovema maintains a large stock of parts, ensuring your Liebherr machine is operational again quickly. Moreover, this approach contributes to a circular economy.

If a single part of the final drive needs replacing, we recommend using a used component rather than a new one. A new part can accelerate the wear of other components, as it is harder and sharper compared to a used, already worn-in part.
